I am using a con-forms hose on my pump. It is not sold as an anti-whip but it sure the hell is. It s the stiffest hose they sell. !0' in length. It works so good it is unbelievable. I have no idea what the model number is. I was priming out. A large cunk concrete with the grout truck and when it came thru(i was priming slow) it plugged in the tip and released and the hose only surge up a foot or so and never ever whipped. Whay to go con-forms. |

The hard part is making a hose stiff enough not to whip, but not so stiff to be confused with a piece of steel pipe. Maybe we should eliminate boom hoses & replace with a piece of steel tubing with a gimble connection (this is a feable attempt at humor here gentlemen). |

Tommy-J That isn't a bad idea, really. Have you folks even tried the 4 foot (CF) hose with the pipe? And with the ConForm logo safety orange foam cover it is not only anti whip but a safety fashion statement. And for controling the 'drop' how about a 5 x 4 or a 5 x 3 steel reducer (eight feet long) for those ICF pours. Safe, economical, functional... what more could you ask for? |
