When I started pumping in December 2013 my company had got a big contract to pump all the concrete at the Benteler Steel Mill they were putting up in Shreveport La. I started out in the '01 32m and ran that for about 2 weeks till I graduated into our '02 39m. We bought my 43m new in March 2014 and it's been history ever since. Basically my first year pumping was spent in a 1 million square foot building pumping everthing from pile caps n columns, slab on grade and elavated decks. I got A LOT of experience very quickly due to pouring 3 to 4 hundred yards a day for damn near the entire year. I had the pleasure of returning today to pump some floor around the outside edge of new edition they added on. Just like old times. |

Thanks a lot man I appreciate it. I was kinda lucky to have gotten into the possition, but the first time I went out with the boss man I fell head over heals. I've always been into powerful machines, but being new to the construction in general I had no clue what a pump truck was until I started laboring for our sister company. Everytime I go out, even though I'm confident in my ability, I still have that slight nervousness that keeps me alert. Everyone pokes fun at me because I'm so serious about it until they realize that they wished they felt the same about their career. |
