Im with an outfit that does mostly industrial projects, so im always on the same job site for up to a year or so going where the work is, right now im in Iowa working on an ethanol plant. They got a new super down here last week that I butt heads with on a daily bases, he seems to now more about pumping concrete than anyone in the industry....... so he thinks. I couldnt reach everything in one hit the other day so he wanted me to hook up 4 hoses and have 20 guys hold the hoses to reach the corner on an 8 ft wall. This guy is on some sort of crack cocaine Im thinking. I told him no, he through a fit about the time it took to move the pump, so I told him to use 5 gal buckets then. I ended up moving and was back pumping 15 min later. I wont do anything thats stupid, I go by the book, Im here to make their job as easy as possible, not make it more work and unsafe for anyone. Its something like this everyday with this guy, Im open to different ways of doing things if someone has a better idea, but not when its unsafe or completely rediculous as to this brain comes up with daily. Ive talked to my boss back in ND and hes behind my decisions 100%. It makes me leave work everday feelin alittle better.

Thats funny,I was told by a concrete finisher that general managers turn in to --- ----- as soon as they hit the door in the morning.Respect these hard working guys and you will get the same.Ever have to deal with an irrate pump operator?
