My boom bounces when im extended all the way out. i usually have to turn my RPMs down and my volume, which makes my boom kind of slow. what can i do about this? My truck is a 1990 32m

what has always worked for me on large pumps is to turn the volume up instead of down.  get a steady flow going and then turn the stroke down a little bit at a time.  hopefully this will help you out.  good luck

Sir,your truck is designed to run at a certain rpm,and not running the truck at that certain rpm will,in time, damage your truck.Run the truck at the designated rpm and de-stroke,same thing as turning down the volume, the pump until the boom settles down. All trucks are different and all mixes make the boom do different things.Tight concrete will make the boom function much differently than high slump concrete, especially with these new light-weight booms. Also a reducer on the end of the boom will affect the handling of the boom.Slow change-over with the rock or s-tube will also affect how the boom acts, which could mean low accumulator pre-charge pressure, but in your case an accumulator is not used,so change-over should be fairly consistent. It will be OK....BE SAFE ALWAYS

The stroke limiter on that unit should be located next to the rear panel (by the ass end) the dampener (if the fast switch option was installed) is by the brain (DS frame rail).  Do you have an Operators Manual?  If so read it, it is full of useful info. if not order one from Schwing (they may give it to you to avoid a lawsuit, I would work that angle) and then read it until you understand it.  It will teach you the location and function of diff. components on the unit.  Then you can call yourself " Sexual Intellect " a tactful term used in mixed company for a rookie that knows it all!
