Dear CPA Member,     Please find attached a letter regarding moving away from the  four yearly testing of mobile and crawler cranes. We also attach the TIN which explains the situation which has been endorsed by the HSE. Finally we enclose a Declaration of Compliance form which can be kept with the crane instead of a four year test certificate. As the letter states, we would like to have details of any customers who are resisting the change away from four yearly overload testing to ultimately enable us to contact them if you decide to move to the defined written scope of examination system.

We have sent this to all Members as we are aware that some of our general plant companies do have one or two mobile cranes in their depots for general yard duties.
