PRESS RELEASE - DATELINE 1 APRIL 2012 - VUVUSEAU TEXAS
30 years in Design, new concrete placement pumper is set to revolutionize the world. Developed in Texas this new unit uses digital technology to create a truely surgless concrete pump. It has a new 5 cylinder rotating barrel similar to a chamber on a revolver. As each cylinder is loaded sensors called interlogics create enough back pressure to fire off each cylinder so quickly that there is no surge of concrete concrete It flow smoothly out of the boom or hose. Interlogics and also sense when a cylinder has air in it and that causes a misfire. Instead of rotating clockwise to the cylinder with air it will backstroke anticlockwise which allows the continued flow of seamless concrete. During this process the cylinder of air is reloaded and the cylinder again rotates clockwise to insure a continued flow of concrete. The ability to load mutiple cylinders has also increased the optimum yardage output to 464 yards per hour.
The use of the digital interlogics has also been incorporated into the end of the boom which stops the flow of concrete once the cylinder is empty or misfires. The use of interlogics is also being used for precise placement of concrete. The computer is set via GPS and Zoneal geo fixed points on the slab and the exact amount of concrete is placed in the slab. No need for a hose man. Under development is the use of interlogics digital technology that will all the boom to be completely run operator free. In the future a driver will deliver the pump to the jobsite. Once the concrete arrives the first ready mix driver will input pour requirements into the interlogic system and the boom and pump will unfold and begin the process of delivering concrete to the exact location of the pour.
Interlogics will also control sensors on each outrigger - raising and lowering the outriggers as ground condiitons change. Under recently approved regulations the jobsite is reponsible for securing and maintaining a solid foundation on which to place the pump unit. Drilled piers which must reach bedrock will be the foundation on which outriggers are set.
Other new safety designs is the hopper enclosure. Ready mix trucks will simply back up to the hopper with their chute extended. Once they reach the hopper a special elastic door opens up and the end of the chute enters and then is sealed tight. The driver simply put his truck at full throttle discharge. This system is necssary to help keep the hoper full. The powerful vacum like system of the enclosed hopper not only keeps the driver from worring about back splash it will completely empty the ready mix truck and chute eliminating the need for the driver to wash down his chutes.
Further information will be released on April 1st.
