In todays market with fuel costs, labor costs what they are, how do companies justify cutthroat pricing,it was a little different when your cost of doing business wasn't so great. Are they doing it just to stay afloat or are they making money? We as a company have a strong commitment to keeping our prices up,and we have plenty of work, but theres alot of jobs I go check on and I have seen these cutrate prices first hand, now down here there is plenty of work and you don't have to be the cheapest to keep busy,i CAN STAY AT NORMAL RATES AND STILL KEEP THE PUMPS WORKING STEADY,now other companies are doing 1/2 the work at cutrate prices ,do they realize the money there leaving on the table,if you set your prices fair be dependable, believe in safety first, have good operators, and take care of your customers, they'll become loyal customers, and more will follow,if you cutrate, your gonna get that type of customer, who will go with whoever is the cheapest, they're not worried about quality just prices then they're gonna cut you every chance they get,if I run my business in a cutthroat way, what does that make me? Eventually,HE WHO LIVES BY THE SWORD,DIES BY THE SWORD,AND PROBABLY DIES BROKE.

as a site dedicated to the "" pumpers "",   this post was probably the most comprehensive, smartest one I've read in a while.          just don't understand why three or four companies in an area charge XX an hour while one jack leg comes in and charges  xx - $ 25.00 an hour        leaving not only money on the table, but safety concerns, maintaince monies,  employee compensation monies, etc. etc. etc.            Talk about not being able to see the forest because of the trees !!!!!!!!!!!!
