I have been going through a living hell,the past week,if I didn't have my job I wouldn't get out of bed.my girl or now x is sick and wont go and get help,bi polar.my dad has been in the hospital for three days now detoxing,dad has agreed to go to a facility in Burbank.my uncle asked me to go with him , relief driver,short notice for work,I cant even tell work when the drive will happen dont know when dad will get out of kaiser,and now my dad and my girl want time to themselves,just needed to vent

Hang in there man. Maybe its time to go to church. Works for me.

Your job will understand that family stuff needs to be taken care of as far as your father goes. I hate to sound rude but women come and go, especially if only dating. So that is a thing that she needs to deal with and you can always help but do not feel obligated. If work has an issue with you taking time off then you do not want to work for that type of boss. You can always come here and work for a great company. I have not seen you on here in a long time. Hope all is well for you. Email me if you want to talk.

Thanks Todd, I thought you were moving here to the Hill country. Is that still in the works or are you staying in Cali.

No looks like we will be staying here. My parents are starting to fall apart and I think they need me close by. I have to go over there few times a week if not everyday  Mom just had both her knees done and my dad just had one done. Unless they come with us looks like we are stuck in sunny california.

Pink is right.  Family is family brother.  If your boss has a problem with you taking time for your dad, adios boss!  Stay strong, things will work out.  I've been there!

Well that is too bad Todd. But like this whole post is about.....Have to take care of the family. They are the only ones that will be there for you.
