Mr. Pump Monkey you just asked the question i've been wanting to know the answer to since i've been in the construction buisness!!!!!!!!

not many of the trailer units in town have mixers and i did not want one to deal with one when i ordered a new pump but for $1500- i knew that afterwards it would be $2500- and the hopper is designed that way so i added that feature and it has ups and downs, most mixes will still go through fine even if its not turning. trash mixes still have to go through the line or iam dumping the hopper. sales men are awesum they can start at the top and work thier way to the chipping hammer, not really.

like i said they are retards.lol does that answer your question hahaha.

The war between the procurer and the shooter is an on going battle.The shooter needs the A bomb and gets a sling shot and the pump operator needs a pump and gets a wheelbarrow! They do not understand the nature of battle.

I only come to this site when I receive calls from people that feel I should know about a certain post. This is one of those times. First, I don't even own a tie. Second, I really need to get to my desk and do a little cleaning up. Mail is building up.

It always has amazed me how a person with less then a year of any experience in our industry can wake up one morning and become a "know all" about concrete pumping. If any of us followed his advice on any issue involving concrete pumping our industry would be in a real hurt.

I am not going to even lower myself to explain decisions made. I will say that decisions are not made based on what this person feels. We do include many people in our decision process from all ranks of our company. Operators are a huge part of that decision before it is made. There is always good information from the front line guys. They run the equipment, they see the issues better then anyone else. That is why they are included in the decisions. We recoginized that a long time ago.

On occasion everyone of us will read a post from someone that is obviously out of touch with our industry. They may believe they are the only solution to concrete pumping, but they are actually a bad representative of the hard working REAL operators in the industry. These people come along think they know it all in a few weeks or months and jump on this site and tell all of us how it should be done.

The fact of the matter is simple. A decision was made using "operator" input. The person making these comments was not included because of the lack of knowledge and experience. A bad pour did occur that caused all of us to re-think the decision. Some changes are being made to the equipment based on input from more of those same "operators". Not from this post or the inexperience of the person that made it.

It is probably fair to say that over 50% of the small line pumps in the US are not equiped with an agitator. One of the responses to this humorus post agreed in part to that statement.

I / we will continue to make decisions using the experience and professional input of our "operators".
