I WAS DOING A BRIDGE DECK WITH 300 FT OF PIPE ON THE END OF THE BOOM YESTERDAY AND THE CREW TELLS ME THAT A BIDWELL REP WAS THERE A DAY EARLIER AND TOLD THEM THAT BIDWELL MAKES A SKID FOR THE PIPE AND THAT I CAN DRAG THE PIPE BACK WITH THE BOOM AS WE WORK BACK INSTEAD OF BREAKING THE PIPE DOWN AS WE GO. I TOLD THEM NOT WITH MY BOOM THAT IT WAS TO MUCH OF A LOAD AND THAT ITS NOT DESIGNED FOR THAT, HAS ANYBODY ELSE HEARD OF THIS. |

goodluck to them then. and if the tip section did come off or any damage was done, who would pick up the bill and blame?? sureley the rep would, but garuntee the operator would get the blame for dragging back pipe. |

mmmm I would say a call to bidwell would be in order, perhaps if they have some factory (pump) approved system everybody should know.On the flip side retraining an illusioned salesman.

yeah and I used one in Louisiana about 2 months ago it works kind of like the skate outrigger pads you just gotta be inventive and not be scared,we actually invested in them so we never have to unhook the pipe you just bring on a 18 wheeler and have cranes set them in place they work great the finishers love them and we havent buckled the tip on our last truck left yet but were pouring a bridge deck in the morning and if works properly well have 6 3 section pumps but thats ok thats all they used in the old days anyway.IF YOUR SCARED CALL THE POLICE OTHERWISE PUMPIT,DRAGIT,BREAKIT,AND F-CKM AND FEEDM FISHHEADS |
