Pumped ICF walls two days in a row, both days contractor wanted metal reducer on end hose ( two different contractors two differrent jobs). They said that it's easier with a metal handle to hold on too, and the last pumper used one. I told them no. Anywaz they didn't even have to hang on they followed the hose haha. Besides i told them i don't even have a stupid metal hose end handle even if they wanted one. What's with this?

Ya know ICF is really an outstanding system, here's the rub.If they really built them right they wouldn't need the excuse of a volocity reducer.Easier to hold on to,yeah right there just stuipid.

We did a 3 story at Buckly AFB (ICF),the form guys were out of Utah.As I understand it this was there first go on ICF.These guys did there homework,3 1/2" tip and almost like a regular wall.

Bottom line is you did right, screw em.

we use a 5-3 reducing 90 and attach some water pump discharge hose to the end of a 10' 3" single ended hose and it works great,no metal on the end this is asking for disaster on a 3" hose pour

we use a 5-3 reducing hose (10' long).  Its similar to a con-forms, but a no-name knock off.  Works great.  We've been using it for icf mixes (10mm stone) with no issues for a year and a half now, and it even works plug free with most 3/4 stone mixes if the guy at the end is complaining about the splashing.  Every truck is gonna get one by the end of the summer.

what area are yall in , here a 5-4 plugs atleast 1 or 2 times a day thats why we cant use them serious safety hazard here but I know alot of areas used crushed granite and other aggregates where they work fine just not here my advice to all is keep your reductions in steel!
