Sure, if you like living in the Dark Ages. after running Mercs over here in Europe i cant figure out why anybody would still use a Mack. Yes, they are tuff. But unless they are near free, then you can keep the piece of @#$%! |

10-4 on that jj.I run 52m on a Tor and our company has always put our smaller stuff on Volvo trucks untill just this last year, and no one is happy about it. I ran a guys 39 the other day and that thing was MUCH louder than my truck, and I thought mine was loud! |

Really now, we as North Americans seem to think we have the market on technology, we dont! Pumpman made a great comment when he mention MAN trucks. I would guess alot of people on this site have never experienced anyhthing other then Mack, and thats to bad . Comparing a European Lorry to Mack is like comparing A new Toyota full size pic up to a 1958 International truck. |

never been exposed to the MAN trucks but several of the alaska fishing boats thet my friends work have the engines and they are way awesome. beeing in the states though i can really only comment on the ones that are legal here, and given my choice i would have to go with the pete and a cummings engine. Way more power available in same weight engine, quieter, better fuel economy, and the door handle didn t snap off after 1 year, and my kidneys didn t hurt as bad with the air cab. |

My first pump that I owned on my own, was a 96 36M Putz, Mack mounted and I told everyone it was like driving a sports car. Plus where we are here there is not one piece of flat ground bigger than a football field so I was from the moment I picked it up in Racine 100% impressed.
