A thought

Keep in mind the mudsnakes intended use. From my perspective it's this way.Used for colums, walls where rebar interfers with traditional methods. With that being said, the total amount of yardage through the hose is minimal,so it should last a good amount of time.A pump can then carry a hose at all times, eliminating wall pipes.

Think about what that can do for the operator and company. It further reduces the operating costs, pump doesn't have to return to yard for pipe on second pour. This helps cut redunant costs of operations.Safety,an ongoing battle, reducing chance of injury loading/unloading.

In my humble opinion,a great tool for all involved

We have only put about 1000 yards or so through ours so far but I can't see it lasting any more than 10,000 or so. Depending on the mud your putting through it. We have crushed granite which is pretty harsh. It is great for tall walls. I don't like it too much for tight rebar though.

I will check tomorrow about the pressure rating but I think they are actually rated higher than a normal hose

I use a "Mud Snake" a lot,Love it!!!..It is great for what it is designed for...And cleaning one out is not that hard at all......What I do is I run a 3 foot double ended hose between my reducer and the "Snake"...When the pour is done,I recirculate my mud get it good and wet. Let the boom drain for a second,Disconnect the reducer from the boom,Leaving the cable hooked to the reducer,Let the reducer and 3 footer dangle just enough to kink off the "snake" fill the reducer and double ended hose with water. And Lift it into the air....Do that a couple times and BAM she's spotless...Oh and be sure to stuff a ball in your boom while you're at it!!!

You know....You can do it above the hopper,Also if you just using a 10 foot "Snake" you can get away with just a reducer full of water...Meh whatever I'm just sayin
