It looks very bad for the Gulf of Mexico and the coastlines , this may end up being the worst oil spill ever,with the devastation that will be done to our marine life and wildlife this is a ecological disaster that will take years and years to recover from,and with the winds and weather coming our way it seems more likely that our coastal marshes will be decimated a very sad day for all sportsman and nature lovers hopefully they can get it capped or plugged soon.

appears as though they were drilling for future pump sites and was cementing casing some 14000 ft deep when they hit a gas pocket causing the explosion and fire 11 people died please remember there families in your prayers.

I heard in the news that they sent subs to the drill whole and are gonna try and put a dome over the leak to help stop the leaking and set up another rig to keep drilling the area

yeah the drilling is estimated as a 60-90 day operation hopefully the dome will help.

A homeless person in the United States has a larger carbon footprint than the Worlds average.I think it is time we look inward.

so now that BP is going to take a huge loss are we going to pick up the tab in higher fuel costs

boy this just may be worse than any natural disaster the gulf coast has ever seen,seafood industry shutdown,recreational fishing next,this is a true ecological disaster,BP has alot of explaining and cleanup to do which will take years,it is so aggravating to see that kind of exploration done at the expense of our coastlines,this should NEVER happen, any chance of this and its not worth the risk.
