http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iaud0QI3i3M Look at this video, the Work Safe BC guys do these videos and post them for free. I know I am the only one who thinks the ACPA should post all of their videos for free but maybe someday they will change their mind. I applaud the Work Safe BC guys. Stop on, great job, very professional, I cant say enough. These guys care more about safety than membership they put safety first. Maybe in a few more years we wont even need the ACPA videos because the Work Safe guys will have them all out on the net for free. Just my opinion not trying to be a pain in the ass, I am just thinking about safety. |

yep they mention that the pump company had used a double ended hose as its tip hose. They did not say much about the hard hat. |

A 25 foot double ender to boot! The worst part is they did'nt even need it, that pump would've reached just fine with a 12 foot whip hose but intsead someone got hose whipped. Total Morons!!! |

Fist off I agree %100 with the endless hose. Second if the plug is isolated in the hose as i suspect this was i have personally seen a 10 foot hose almo0st hit the boom after it broke loose. Metal or no metal anyone close to that hose has had it. I have commented on this before. OERATORS ARE NOT trained like they use to be. Companies think when they know how to run a remote and hook up system they are good to go WRONG. This is what happens when arm chair operators a deciding who is who and what is what. And i really feal sad for the familey for their lose and the operator himself because im sure that company is going to let the smut lawyers eat him alive. |

That was totally dumb 3 reducers what was it 2 1/2 or 2 4inch the guy would be alive and hitting the e stop wouldn't have relieved the pressure. We will see this often now the contractors like the 2 or 2 1/2 to fill block walls |

so sad. from seeing the reanactment, i would say that the basment floor was pumped with the last 25ft hose pulled out with the boom. its resy job so an accelerator is a good posibility. kink the hose, wait 5 -10 min for the crew; and you have a bomb. i think trainning is part of the solution, the problem is ive seen seasoned operators do and show what should not be done and shown

I take it this Co. In canada land doesn't have a industry standard or at least a good safety director of sorts. Unfortunately things like this can always be avoided with serious diligence on safety. I only now of a select few Co's that have a full time safety director. Maybe it's a good time for that Co. to get serious about safety before another person gets hurt! |
