It has been years! Leaving tommoro for an afternoon placement. Staying over and blasting another one on Tuesday. I told the crew we can go drinking Monday night! What else do you do when your out of town? |

This is a touchy one SEED...... I go out of town quite a bit and have found through both personal experience AND just hearing crews talk about other operators, and I don't think it's a great idea to go out drinking with crews... Sure it's fun and can extend certain relationships, however YOU look so much more professional if you stay away... If you feel it's imperative to show up at the bar later then one or two drinks and leave... I wouldn't sit there and catch a buzz.... One time in this special occasion I talked privately with the bartender and gave her a twenty and told her to not put booze in my rum and cokes... If the smallest thing goes wrong, you AND your company are looked upon differently forever... Just something to think about!!! Have fun out of town though..... Always a good time to see other people.... Where ya going? You're in Maine, right? I grew up in Mass. |

I'm not proud of this story but I'll tell it anyway I remember an out of towner I did couple of years ago. A two pump pour several hundred metres. Me and the other operator were in the bar at the hotel and getting ready to call it a night. Then, one of the ready mix guys shows up and starts ordering drinks for all three of us. The long and short of it is that peer pressure took over. We end up hitting three bars in town and stagger in to the hotel around four in the AM. We made it to the job on time (just barely) without any food in our bodies and it was 100 degree F. outside. The ready mix driver was four hours late to work and he lost his phone somewhere so nobody could call him. That night on the way home I was so hot and tired I pulled over and fell asleep under my pump for an hour or two (it was nice and shady under there) roughest day I ever had pumping! I am not bragging about this experience, it was very unprofessional of me. I would never let this happen again. Bad things could have happened. |

Everyone is diferent personaly i love a drink but i think knowing your limits is the key! If i go for a drink or just have a quiet few at home, I know a six pack is my max i dont go over it and i usually dont get there have a good feed and know how much sleep you need to be able to function the next day ! At least 7 hours is good for me , its good to be social just dont over do it thats all ! |

Good times just got back! We kept it real. Pumped Monday and today and blasted home. Have one tommoro 2 Thursday and back to the big gig on Friday. Too tired to drink. |
