Peewee - I've thought about doing this before, but with how many pumps I have it would create more problems than it would solve, but it will save you a lot of money in the short and long term. Sell your tandem 125s without repair (assuming the shaft is alright and just the charge pump and rotary groups are damaged you should be able to get about 8 to 10k for them) and buy a single 150. Hang the accum. pump off the back of the single 150, plug off the extra suction ports from the tank, and you made your own enterprise Putz. Cheaper now, easier to work on because there's only one pump to give you problems and to develop leaks, the shaft seal won't fail as often and leak into the PTO box because not so much torque on the shaft, and there's more room under there to work on the equipment. |
