What is the idea of pumping into this device ? Someone help me out here. I need some educating. I am sure that there is a very good reason for this; I just need to be clued in. Thanks ;~) |

I am going to take a W. A. G. and say that there may be air pressure in the hose.............. or that the stuff is so dry that it spits, not runs, out the end. So they "capture" it in that pot ?? Anybody have a REAL answer? |

So it must be like some sort of shot-crete setup? |

Unlike shotcrete, the air is applied thru the turbine under the hopper of the placer. I've done this with a P rock placer. Like an insulation or bark blower. |

i was wondering what kind of concrete that was when i noticed the other screed going that would be a cold joint. at first i would guess that recovery pot was to control some seperation. |

I am guessing it is to keep from getting sand blasted |

They just rod it flat, Its nice having a good consistant subgrade. It takes the guess work out of yardage calculations. The oldman use to make me rod all the subgrade sand, I used to bitch and wonder why until I started rod'n mud. Figured out it made me a pretty good rod-man. |

seeing you bent over pulling a rod is probably like pouring sidewalks with a 60m |

Yeah Bob the ground is a ways down there for me. That why I prefer knee-deep slabs. Then I barley gotta bend over. One advantage is I can cover a garge bay in one pass. Just like most other stuff I got a customized gitter bug (8" extention) custom skates (sliders). One dude thought they were some kinda new bull float once. If I gotta push hose on a 40m then I'm bill'n ya for a 42! |

I saw something like that on the Wagner website. They used it for transporting dry bulk materials like sand or rock. It probably makes sense that it can be used to move a dry mix of cement with little or no rock. |
