Anyone pumped any latex modified concrete? Just wondering how it went? |

Better have spare system close at hand. There is a reason why they use Volumetric Mixers to produce the stuff on-site. Even they have spare mixing auger assemblies on-hand. |

Don't even bother. Not worth the risk. |

I believe it's much like an epoxy based product.Do a search on this subject (google) as I did.Just from what I read it scares the heck out of me. http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/construction/reviews/revlmc1.cfm

Latex is a bonding agent and by smell you think it's Elmers Glue. I do not see why it would not pump, it's a liquid that is water soluble. A lot of repair mortars have it in it as a powder but use to have a gallon jug to mix with the mortar. |

I've pumped it quite a few times with out any problems. It's better to have two people on the job so he can watch your pressures. It does'nt take much of a slump change to make the pressure to climb. The longest i pushed it was 450ft. without any problems. |
