What size rock is in the mix? What size hose are you using. Is there an old blockage in the hose. Can you hook up the hose to all the reducers and put a sponge in the hose fill the hopper with water put the pump in foward and pump the sponge through clearing the hose. The road goes on forever and the party never ends! |

C4 What I would do is also get a copy of the mix design; the guys at your local batch plant should be able to fax it over to you; run that by some of the people at Reed and they will have guys that will be able to work with the ready mix company and give them feed back on batching a pumpable mix. Also the local concrete testing company that your clients would normally hire to test the loads as your pumping them would have the mix design for your clients and they should be able to get you a fax.Your problem could be simply too much air, or just having the design off by enough to make it a little over the limit. Check and confirm the pumping pressures so you can advise Reed, what they are and like Tracy said check your system and pump over.Good luck Sincerely,MarcusOperationsThe Operator Training CenterOperations@OperatorTrainingCenter.Com |

Maybe try a 70/30 ratio. Marcas could be correct also the mix might have too much air intrainment.Try either the 60/40 mix with 1/2 inch rockor 3/8 inch rock at 5000 psi which would be a 7 sack mix it should fly. Check out the S tube valve inside the hopper for any old concrete. Make sure you are using 2 1/2 line and not 2. Make sure your reduction is correct from 5 to 2 1/2.The road goes on forever and the party never ends! |

C4 sounds like a mix issue for sure; Some of the line pump guys on the site should be able to give you some input on what works for them; also try to get some help from Reed, they will know the limits of the machine are with respect to air. Sounds like just a mix issue; Here is some info on Fly-Ash: http://www.flyash.com/resourcelibrary.asp?category=Fly+Ash+Basics&Submit=searchHere is some info about air entrainment; go to this site also for more; www.cement.org/basics/concretebasics_airentrained.asp |
