do you have your method statement for the correct procedure for grouting/slurrying your pump up ? i was told today that mixing 2 bags of cement with a bit of water in the hopper was the incorrect way of doing it and was advised to mix the grout/slurry in a bucket and then tip into the hopper, t-piece/grout pot. after a lengthy discussion about which way was safest our office had to fax a hastily written method statement on how we mix the slurry/grout. nothing to do with how we set the pump up or how good the ground conditions are. the world is getting f**king madder by the day 

30 years ago we did it both ways,in the hopper or bucket.I'm affraid of what I would have said about the policy letter,just tell them for me.

Out of curiosity, who wanted the statement? General, concrete sub, inspector, etc????

lucky for him i am a very placid person many. it was the main contractors safety manager.i did have the last word 30 minutes later when he was stood under the boom at the top of staircase berating some poor fellow for not wearing eye protection.
