Never take life fore granted

Today started out by getting canceled due to rain, then the contractor called an hour later and wanted to pour. I showed up at 8:30 and had concrete at 10. The pour was going to be around 350yrds. We pumped the first 122yds real easy (13-15 strokes per min), then i had to move to finish the rest of the pour. I had folded up and moved while the laborers moved the slick line over. As i was putting the boom back in the building one of the laborers had just set the last pipe (4") in place when he dropped to the ground and began having a seizure. At first every one had no idea what to do, they wanted to roll him on his back and stick objects in his mouth. My sister happens to be an epileptic so i told them to roll him on his side and asked what time it was because if it goes longer than 4 min there are problems. He seized for about 3 min then would gasp for a breaths erratically and his pulse felt like a rabbits heartbeat. About 1 minute before the ambulance showed up i could not feel the pulse any longer and he stopped breathing. before we could start crp the ambulance showed up. They did what they could but unfortunately this gentleman had had a massive heart attack and had passed. I found out later he was only 35 years old. As i sit here tonight reflecting on what occurred today i realize that life is way short, and never take what you have fore granted because tomorrow it can all be gone.

That is terrible and I know exactly what you mean. A guy that worked for the city here just passed away a week ago while playing pick-up hockey on a saturday. This guy was 41 and his 2 kids were in the stands watching as he crossed the blue line and had a massive heart attack as well. Up until 2 years ago I played hockey with this fellow and he was the last person I would have suspected it from. I am going to miss him, he was a great guy.

It just goes to show though that you never know and to live life to the fullest. My thoughts go out to his family.

You are right,Life is to short.I had cancer 4 years ago and it scared the sh-- out of me.Now nothing bothers me now.Everyone take one step backwards and look hard.It can end at any time.So live life LARGE.

If you are ever there when I decide to stroke out please do not try and save me.

I am a D.N.R.

I would rather be dead and gone than fk ed up and alive.
