Hi guys i recently did some research on (OBA) on board air a set up and i just wanted to share it with you guys. I plan on putting a system like this on my line pump its a 98 REED 4070 with a turbocharged DEUTZ BF6L913 diesel engine. You can actually make the system work on anything and after i get the parts together im gonna put this on my pump. Anyway here is a link to a walk through of this set up and this guy gives the most detail then anything i have seen even has parts youll need anyway i just figure i share with you guys on here i know a set up like this can be pretty slick for you gear heads!!!

BTW guys they say the york style A/C compressor is the best to use cause it had an oil sump that does not flow through the system like most A/C compressors will for converting those youll have to rig up an inline oiler and seperator if you do a google search you can find more info on those but the link above tells you all the reasons to go with these style york compressors.

Seems to me a lot of work just to get the system installed; they do a pretty good job though

By the look of what is in the link it does but after looking at the spot where im going to mount it on my pump it doesnt look too bad. I guess imma find out when i start putting it together lol.

Are you going to clean out with air or is it just for tools and tires looks like you will need a air tank as storage   to build up enough supply.

That looks pretty neat, but not gonna have enough power for most stuff.  I have a 30 gal IR gas powered compressor for everything I could ever need.

These things i read you can get it to go as high as 200 psi and fill a 10 gal air tank in like 15 20 secs at about 800 rpm you could run them at a higher rpm to get the volume of air need for even grinders idk just from the treads i read about this set up sold me but i guess ill find out when i get it together but yeah i plan on running tools and use to clean my lines.
