Hey Todd, what happened to the PM slew ring bolt issue and photos? I pointed out that the photos are on facebook anyway. so why did you trash the input? |

probably under investigation, & to avoid a bad image for PM or whatever manufacturer pays him for advertising on his site, he removed it so there wasn't an issue. I'm sure he has it saved on his computer |

Certainly a safety issue. Should have been left up in spite of Putz being an advertiser. |

A "quality" source told me that the accident happened in Turkey on the new m38, and that it was down to mistorqued and/or defective stretch bolts since then Putzmeister has introduced a correct method of exchanging the slew ring and replacing bolts in a recent Service information. Noboody was hurt. Basicaly when one goes the rest around it can be comprimised so part of your annual inspection buy a copper hammer and check those bolts by tapping them! |

I was told the accident was over a year old and happened because the bolts were under torqued. |
