How does this slick pack liquid work and perform compared to the slick pakII. We tried some in a bottle once and it din't impress me any, course i use water most of the time anyways but anyone tried both?

C'mon now Aycock, you know its damn near impossible to throw one of those crappy primer bottles into a loaded drum of SunRocks' finest, and actually see an improvement. I'll stick with the Slick Pak 2.

I use portland the same stuff the masons use on block, it works every time. I think it works as good as slick willy. Plus it's free!!!! It's on almost every job I do. Try a 5 gallon bucket half full of portland, mix it with 8 gallons of water, put it in your hose before the concrete.

I'VE USED BOTH AND THE ONLY DIFFRENCE I CAN TELL IS  WHEN WE USED 2 1/2 INCH SYSTEM.YOU CAN PRIME THE BOOM WITH WATER SO ANYTHING EXTRA IS A PLUS.

My Turn!! The best primer I've ever used is a combination of bentonite and mortar mix! You could prime SunRocks' bony mixes better than you could pump their mud. It provides everything that that crap they call concrete is missing.Real sand,real slurry,and nonreclaimed water!!

PS How do you get 8 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket???

I tried the slick pack ounce, and only ounce, my thinking was I did not use enough water, the mud just knotted half way through a 10ft steel pipe hehe. Now just a sack of powder and slow and easy.

I run a 52m Schwing,and prime with a yard of grout,but we also have a 28z,31hht,38z two 39ms and a 46m in whitch we only use slic-pacII or the new liquid in the bottle,however neither will work properly without enough water,fill the hopper to just about the top of your s-tube/rock valve with water add your preffrence shift reverse a couple strokes to mix ,then forward a couple ,then while  stroking discharge the concrete until primed. Works everytime through a boom! Use grout through system.

Mudslingler, I should have said use 2-5 gal. buckets.

Water in the boom pumps and cement mixed with water in the line pump or maybe just water.  Don't waste money on primers bad concrete wont pump.

I wonder if primers would help fighting fires?
