Hey so just a question for all the pumpers out there. How many of you guys say your pouring a ICF wall and your the hose man and running your boom at the same time. What do you all think of it just want to get some input 

In Australia, if the boom is under 40meters, the operator regularly operates the remote and holds the hose at the same time aka. One man operation. If the contractor is not prepared to pay the premium hire rate or extra fee for the line hand, or alternatively supply a labourer of his own, why should the pump cover the cost of an extra line hand labourer from his/her bottom line?

Technically against OHSA regulations in Canada.  Have done it on occasion but what would happen if you got hurt and could not run the pump? Possibly wasted concrete plugged pump and upset customer and other lost jobs for the day.  Not worth the risk.  The contractor supplies the hose man or no pump.

Where we run, the contractor supplies the hose man. Pump operator needs to be able to concentrate on running the pump. We can supply a hose man, but it usually cost extra for the man.
