So today was the third time we have tried and failed at pumping fill.  I still have tofind out what the breakdown of the mixture was but i know the bill said 10 mpa.  The redimix boss was on site and said that he fixed the mix design and it should work this time.

Any help would be great, not sure when we get in to lean mixes if slick packs added to loads or if the mix needs to be adjusted properly, i will post the mix if i find out what the design was but if any knows what i could suggest to the company i will pass the info on so that i can avoid an entire day of washing out a mess

Thanks

If it's a low stregth fill, then using a cheap dish soap (1 even 2 botles per load to foam it and act as a water reducer)  Do not use for engineered - specified strength concrete or grout)  Slick packs can help, but will require adding 10 gallons of so of water to saticfy the water demand of the product.

Load it up with flyash you can pump sand by its self by putting 1,000 of flyash and 200 lbs of cement with 2,000 lbs of sand  the psi doesn't matter on fill the only other way is double water and don't stop pumping pump up hill or down be sure to have lots of vents to get the air out.

what i have found with flow fill is that it has to have an admix in it thats called dura flow, which is basically airentrainment. but it will not pump without it. this is what keeps the sand suspended so it does not pack the sand in the boom

I have been told so many times that something would pump, Not. You need to work with a company that has done this before. If your concrete company dosn't have this kind of eprience, then good luck. You could ask another company, but they don't like to give up thier formula's.

400 pounds of cementuous materia, also 6-7 %air (or dish soap ), added on job , very important to add on job, and it has to be super wet.

Black dirty and agg lime will pump. It would be nice to have a cheap dependable mix. This spring i have a job to fill a void and slab jack under a concrete sidewalk apron next to a boat landing harbor. It could take 20 yds of mix, I might be buying. $5000 job but i don't want to pay $3k for material. I wonder if pure black dirt would pump.. Agg lime is very abrasive, i dont like using it.
