I have gone to a Decorative Concrete Seminar today and was discussing "Concrete Pumping" from a tow behind unit or pump. I am a Landscape Contractor and have perfromed Hardscapes for several years and have decided to go into decorative concrete. I had discussions about "pumping concrete" with one individual that ran the seminar. I must see he was incredibly knowledgeable but insists that pumping concrete for decorative flatwork is not worth rental of a tow behind pump becuase just running it will prove more work than it's worth. We are talking about anywhere from 5+ cubic yards? How would you get the concrete to an inaccessible location? What are the costs to rent a tow behind or boom pump? What is the cost of a tow behind unit that will pump 3/4 agregate at a 4-5 inch slump? Thanks |
