I am going to be filling some old city storm sewer lines, the contractor has been leaning toward using flowable fill. In the past I have always used a grout. My question is has anyone pumped flowable fill? How well does it pump? We are trying to fill 170 feet worth of line that has little to no fall to it. Thank you in advance. |

I have pumped it with no problem. As was said heavier fly ash. If you are going to be waiting long. Then my sugesstion is pump it down and, then suck the boom dry and, keep it in reverse so, it bubbles. You dont need to stroke it hard just keep it bubbling. It keeps the sand suspended. I learned that on my first pour with it. |

Pumping Flowable Fill is very easy.. We manufacture a foaming agent and simple pumping systems to lighten up the material and have filled hundreds of thousands of feet of pipe, large buried tanks and even the infamous Drug Tunnel between the Canada/USA border in Washington. The material flows very easy and we get by with 50/50 mixes in most cases...and are using 70% flyash and woodash in other applications.Website is www.cellcrete.com for more information. |
