QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend procedures, instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write clear, complete, and informative service and test reports and related correspondence. Ability to draft test procedures. Ability to understand customer, dealer, and fellow employee’s requirements and respond by effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations, over the phone or in person. Ability to interface with engineering staff regarding variety of technical issues. Spanish language skills would be very beneficial. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply formulas and elec./hydraulic/mechanical principles to problem solving and testing situations. Knowledge of and ability to use a large variety of measures and units. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete and abstract variables.
