We are looking at hiring a pump salesman to bring in more pump jobs. My question is, how do companies pay these persons? Salary + commission or bonus? For ones that do commission and bonuses, what is it based off of? % of each job they got us? Or if they acquire us a company that begins to use us regularly, do you continue the comission off each job? Just curious as to how the salesman is paid. Thanks! |

ten bucks an hour if you provide the car otherwise fifteen if I use my car. how much time selling or representing the company would there be. think twenty percent commission on all work by that customer for a year. what makes you money the salesman or the concrete pump. in any business the money is allways in sales. |

normally I pay a salary plus a vehicle allowance , but 20% of the revenue is way to high , if anyone is making 20% profit off a pump please let me know. Their should be a percentage of the profit margin , but all that depends on how much work the salesman brings in. Say you was doing 200k a month , then after this salesman is hired you increase to 300k , say you are profiting 10% so he just brought you in a extra 10k profit , I would give him 10% of that which would be a $1000 that month bonus. I believe that is fair , just don't crawfish on your deal even if its 5-6 k a month , if he's making money , you are making money ,easiest way to keep everyone happy is to hold up your end of the bargain as long as he/she does their job. |

''in any business the money is allways in sales'' I like to think Team Efford. If your operators and pumps are shit you will have a hard time selling. The product is as important as the salesman thank you very much ;-) |

i am a trailer hore so sometimes I have to leave 20% on the table to land the first sale and might only get two more pumps in that year from the same customer so I am on a different scale. |
