I guess you got away with it. AndI thought all the cowboys lived in the US. Our safety standards are diferent here. I like the one with the outrigger on the wall. I'm glad that pump wasn't pumping fast or hard, rocking on a unbackfilled wall. look at the forming marks on the wall, looks like they use 1"x6" for forming. Dark ages. I've seen a lot of crazy Euro shit on here. |

Wow is all I can say. So many things wrong with all those set ups. Lucky no major incidents occured from those setups or someone would be up the creek without a paddle. |

Ok. Forget the set up. We all know its not real.????? Ya Think???? Look at the concrete ledge the unit drove on to get to the set up spot...?? Now a Concrete truck has to back up on it as well? Pretty high wall and looks to be only about 12 inches think. Looks like a second or third teir as well. How think can the slab be? How much down pressure can it really handle? There are men working under all this! CAT. THis is real Right? WHere did you find this? |

ALMIMA | 04-29-2012 | reply profile send pm notify |
I run a pumpcompany, but before that i was a mixerdriver for several years. In that years i´ve seen many very bad boompumps-setups, but your pumpsetups.......I can as a pumper say: Try, realy try to be more careful - you will sooner or later make a big accident. But as a pumpcompanyowner......You are a goldenguy that solve every problem to make your employer be happy until you make an accident. Then you are the worst asshole he ever has employeed! Why do an employeer take that risk that you do??? I as my own companyowner would do as you do, because i own my pumpcompany - but if one of my employees do as you do...I would realised that my company loose money if the pump not do an income that day, but i will stop the job - what ever the cost. But i run my company - not in 2012.....i run my company in 2017. And to have a healthy company then, i have to do what ever it takes to have a healthy company at 2017. And that means - don´t take risk! A company can not grow if it is runned on the edge to an accident every time - and that means every cathegory of company. That´s why i never as a companyowner would have tolerated that pumpsetups that you do - I have no use for you in my company! You are a too big risktaker, and risktakers in my company don´t makes my company - or any company to grow. I hope that your companyowner see your pictures and explain to you that sometimes is a no, realy a no!
And the video: Not fully outriggers and the rear outrigger is stand on an old wall ??? How do you know how much that old wall tolerate? And of course, no full boom out means no full outrigger. How do you know the limit? You are a risktaker! My self has doing way more than 2000 (!) skydivingjumps - and every skydivejump i´ve done is a gamble with my own life - now i run a pumpcompany, and i see every day as a skydivingjump - be 100% prepared and do the best as the situation needs......and hopefully you succeed the day. In the skydivingworld i´m a skydivingguru. But in the concretepumpingworld, i´m really a mosquito on a warm summermorning, for the big dragons as are my competitors. Do your first skydivingjump - then we can talk about safety! A skydiver calculate the risk for every jump, but you are totaly injudicious. Don´t ever think about to try skydiving - you will be the first to be a canopystreamer-plant or a forwardtoggle hookturn-plant. |

Haha, now i see - you are not a greek-guy. It´s not you on the pictures or the video.... Sorry - my mistake! But i still stands for my opinion in my reply in this post - but i don´t talk about you. |

||
ALMIMA | 04-30-2012 | reply profile send pm notify |
but "gavros" isn´t it too much in your replay to laugh or don´t care? I know that you see that competitor as a micky mouse-idiot. But i hope you realise that he run his company as Homer Simpson. No serious pumper can laugh at that picture - it´s like to laugh when your mother .......and so on. |

I hope you all read this. This will work, although I would never suggest it, especially with an outrigger or 2 on a wall. If you hurt anybody or kill someone in the US. you can be found criminally neglegent in a court of law for this and it could cost you in alot of different ways including prison. The only reason it worked was because the weight to a point was balanced. If you noticed the main section was basicly straight up and down keeping the heaviest part of the boom over the truck, along with the second section down with three and four a little more out. Again I would not do this. That is why it worked, still stupid but I guess they dont have 23meter pumps there. You have to remember that you are responsible for the safety of everbody around the pump, including yourself and once you start doing something like this the word gets out and another customer hears about it, then another ,then another and then your doing it all the time, and then you forget something one day and then it happens. |

I didn't read your posts before my last coment, I only wanted to no where they do this. I dont care if he owns the company, It's fucking stupid. Yes I can do it but I dont because stupid contractors will want you to do it again and again and believe me someday you will forget something or fuck up. Does the pump manucturer say this is ok. Think about it dumbass. |

They have to be photoshoped they can't be that stupid. I didn't mean to include everybody from Europe in my earlier remarks, but these kind of photot's can give an area a bad reputation. |
||
Dipstick | 05-03-2012 | reply profile send pm notify |
Thats of course huge BS but ok.. Just because there are a few cowboys in a huge area like europe doesn't mean ANYTHING for the rest of europe... But its ok.. Not so important.. Just mentioning |

that is scary shit on these other pics, just goes to show you , you can get away with unsafe setups sometimes, its the one that bites you in the ass thats gonna hurt or kill someone, the risk is not worth the reward, you wanna be a cowboy go ride a horse leave the concrete pumps to professionals. |
||
Beast | 05-04-2012 | reply profile send pm notify |
a bull rider knows its not if, its when hes gonna get hurt if he continues riding, same logic with these asshats, its not if, its when someones gonna hurt or killed ! |
