I don't mean any disrespect but why would you have a guy with no pumping experience running a concrete pumping company? |

I do share my thoughts off group to people that have insight, one such mail. Just between us fools (grin),i'm waiting to watch this group. While absolutly everyone says they can't raise pricing, yeah right. My guess is these people just might be the ones to jump and say (SEE). And who says someone outside this industry can't crunch numbers? It sure sounds as if they want to make money and they are going about it right. They are in a tough area,a refreshing change. |

Rich, I think he'll be just fine. At least he came from a transportation background and not Pepsi or something like that. In fact, he'll have to hit himself in the head with a hammer everyday when he gets to work to mentally prepare himself for the stupidity that is the good 'ol American contractor. Can you imagine his shock that dispatchers will reserve machinery for customers that aren't a 100% go. How often do they hold a FedEx cargo plane because someone might have a package?

Ok so when the contractor calls and asks him why his concrete pump can't pump the mud how do u respond? 1+1=2? Or how about when an operator tells him that he needs a sponge and the guy goes down to Walmart? That would be kind of funny. Would kind of suck if ur a operator tell ur manager that u can't set up cuz the ground is soft and he tells you that you have to cuz its all about making money. Idk guess I would just like a manager that knew about the things he manages. Just my opinion tho to each his own. |

because the guy who used to run the show ran it into the ground and he had 17 years experience in pumping. you can't have a high school drop out running a multi million dollar fleet. |

John I have to disagree with you. I know a man who did a awesome job running a branch who didn't graduate high school with over 20 years experience. My question now is why would a owner let a man run his company into the ground. Isn't it the owners fault? He is the one who put him in charge and didn't take action when the company started to fail. |

for one you cant just categorize people as high school dropouts and expect to get the same results from each, just the same you cant do that to college graduates either, each person is different, he worked for fedex this doesnt mean thats all he knows, give him a chance , it just may work out, some of the most intelligent men I've known didnt finish the 10th grade, and I have known some dumbasses with masters degrees, none of us are the same, when you speak blindly about someone whose looking like the dumbass ? |
