I thinking about getting a telebelt 130 within the next 6 months I've been losing alot of work to them. Does anyone know what a new 130 goes for? Just seeing my options. I heard they are more maintenance then a pump

Thats a great idea and the right size if you look around there are a few used ones for sale you could save a bundle. |

There are so many good used machines out there right now that I wouldn't even think about buying new. |

I know it would save a lot but there's nothing like a new truck. I always bought used . It would be nice to have something exactly how you want it. There really isn't to many used 130 belts out there.

I am glad you asked about this. Pros and cons to think about there are a lot But I would like to give you something to think about. Telebelts have gotten a bad rap about being hard to maintain and operate, this is not true… If the belt is operating dirty you are doing something wrong. Most of the time it is very simple to take care of. One of the glaring issues that have contributed to this is poor or lack of operator training. The TB is quite user intuitive, and this leads to operators figuring it out without the benefit of training in proper operation. When you buy a used TB you will need to have a trained person, including their bad habits run the unit, or learn as you go. If you buy a new unit, Putzmeister invests in your success by providing what we call an In-service, it is 3 to 6 days on site and in-depth training from the Factory perspective, this is huge to someone getting into belts for the first time, it also helps experienced operators who might have been “self taught”.
Of course PM will still be able to help if you decide to purchase used, it is our desire to help you receive full benefit from your unit, this kind of training can be negotiated and is quite worth it.
I would totally encourage you to keep asking questions and if you need please contact the Customer Service dept for more info. Also Don Mathews as well as myself are the guys that primarily do the In-services either one of us would love to talk with you

I've ran alot of belts and I believe the biggest issues are just keeping the truck clean especially after using it for concrete. If you don't stay up on scrapers and they are not working properly it makes a big mess, screws up rollers, the belts and makes one hell of a mess. Tarps and an oil spray can are a great investment!! I also agree with the previous post about having proper training! I've seen many nice belts get ruined in a matter of a couple weeks from an operator without the training he needs. And I think it takes a motivated person, you will spend alot on maintance if you have a lazy operator. |

Block,Yard-whore is wright....the KEY IS THE SCRAPER'S--- it's great after doing a few hundred yrd's of concrtete or a a few thousand yrd's of rock or sand. the deffrentce is a 30min clean up or a 2hr + clean up...and the places you can stuff one...and the way's you can feed them is nut's.o the output of a good running belt will have the contractor scratching his head.if ya wanna see some set up's and diffrent ways you can feed one i have a ( few ) photos and video's posted on here take a look.... |

If I had to guess, I'd say around $900k. Really dont know..I think a new 110 is roughly $625k. If you can keep em busy and take care of them, probably worth buying new....im a little leery of used equip, esp belts. If you go used, get someone you deal with regularly to go over machine before purchase. Check especially how much slop there is on slewing gear components. Very, very expensive to fix! Traveltech might know someone who could inspect a used one, if he doesnt sell you a new one!! Great machines..and very versatile. the operator is going to be the key to success. |
