ok phone call monday after noon contractor needed pump for 100cy paveing wednesday 6am referral from finisher working for contractor i went to look at job gave him  price $125hr-2.50cy-4-1 no fuel or primer 32m super wanted flat rate for 3hrs so i told him $800 (paying cod) after 3hrs $100 per hr he set up the job  then he called me cancel his boss has a company that will pump it for $550 so hear is how $800 to $2100 it started with discount large pumping company  no show this morning ready mix is a large company thay showed up with 50cy on time and have a good reputaion being on time sent it somewear else thay placed it no cost to contracter ready mix could not deliver contractor later missed window so super called me and ask if i could pour it thanksgivin morning sure it will be $1600 3hrs cash he agreed to price then he ask me if i knew a ready mix co that would bring him concrete on a holaday i called a friend small family owned concrete co thay would open for $2000+$90per yard 100cy min cash pre pay so contractor brought concrete and pump money $12.600 cash owner of ready mix gave me extra $500 for bringing him the buniess so pump on 3am and i will be home for my family just thank how much this has cost the contractor to meet his dead line all started over $250 and no show by a low bid and the contractor got my number from the concrete finisher lol poncho got $500 from contractor for show up and i will give him something for the reterral happy thanksgivin all.

Good on you, nice to know people also. We get it allot also, but we are a large firm (cough) but like McDonalds we can't say no. But see how indicisions cost people all the time. One story was a 40m pump travelled an hr to a job for 300cad pumped 45m3 and an hrs back home. That's what we are up against.
