Hello, We are a concrete contractor from west Michigan considering buying a pump. I am looking for some input from the group on Make, Model, New or Used Etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

I would give the guys at Concord a shout. They build strong, user freiendlly pumps. I've operated them a bunch. The first one I run, think I only changed the piston cups and wear parts ever on that rig. Reliable. Love em!! |

I would go for something user friendly. Not to much electronics would be a major factor for me. Simpel pumps work often better than complicated ones with al sorts of ''luxury'' gadgets which you don't realy need and only brake down.. And I can know because I drive a different pump every day Seen most of them.. I think Concord for example is a good option.. Also a factor for me would be how willing the manufacturer is to adjust the machine to your wishes. Some brands will do anything for you, some brands can not change anything. |

What kind of pump are you looking for btw? Mixer+pump? Big boom pump? Stationairy pump? For a contractor I would think the best all round pump would be somewhere in the 32-36m range. A 5 section Z-boom. Stay away from the 4 section Z-boom. 5 section has much much more advantages.. Do you have big jobs or small? Maybe 32-36 is to small if you have very big projects but keep in mind a 42m for example takes a lot more space. Do you have good space on your sites or not? |

I agree with Big Stick. All have their plus's and minus's. Schwing has just been the beast of them all over the years. Durablility, performance and for certain resale. Most popular resale pump worldwide hands down. They all pump concrete. Some supported better then others. Schwings you just hammer and hammer and you will wear out before they do. |
