Thought I would share a few pictures of a job we have underway. We purchased a new SP500 for the job and I have been climbing the steep learning curve the last few pours. Using crane to support the line down to divers and an underwater air cuff to stop the drips while the divers switch connection ports. |

The formwork is 12’ tall and depending on tide the divers are from surface to about 14’ down. The shutoff came from con form. It’s basically a rubber bladder inside a steel tube that we inflate from the surface. Temperatures are terrible. We are restricted by the specifications to placing concrete on days -10C and above. Had a horrible winter so far and lots of days below that, then add in wind! Divers are in heated suits so they do 4hr shifts and don’t complain. |

Reducer with prime port came from con form as well. We use a cut-off water cooler bottle as a giant funnel to get the prime in. Only issue is it tends to air lock as we have been placing a dry ball down 10-15’ to keep prime from running out. |

I pumped some 6000psi grout a while back. It came on a 5"slump but we added a Sika anti-wash agent that turned it into clay. It pumped like grease and was not affected by wave action. |

Yeah that stuff looks crazy stiff !. Ours has the antiwashout as well but its coming at about 24" slump flow measurement so its looks more like a SCC mix. |

Makes you wonder why the rock don't fall out of suspension with SCC. This slab is 5' thick with a H pile in a cavity and they tried to seal around the H pile, thats why it had to be thick. Talk about wild try some light weight concrete, lot of the rocks float if you grab a hand full of mud and drop into a bucket of water. Keep warm :) |

did it pump as nice as the 0 slump? did that 25" concrete go in the water? |

It still pumped like normal high slump concrete and you can plug on prime if you were slack (especially with new hose). We had a few times where cream was washed out of the end and plugged air cuff. Concrete did go in water, through a port in the single sided formwork. Same idea as a tremmie pour. |
