Hello all, I'm new to this message board and was hoping someone could help me out with my dilemma. I install address sign into peoples front yards. First I drill a hole into the ground a foot deep with a 3 inch diameter, then put the post in and fill it in with the type of concrete where you just add water in with it. But now that the cold weather is coming I'm not so sure about how well the concrete will cure. The package says the temperature needs to be atleast 40 degress F. What I thought I could was to get a few cups of hot water and then pour it over the area so it would have 10 or 20 minutes to harden. Anybody have and other ideas or insights? |

How can it draw water from the ground if it's 20 degrees F? Any water would be frozen, I'm just going 1 foot deep. |

Thanks for the responses. What I think I'll just do is shut down business for the months of december january and ferbuary. The concept of screw in anchors was new to me and I looked into but I don't see how I could attach the steel pole to the top of a screw in anchor in the ground, interesting idea though. |
