Wayne was the man behind Mayco’s success. He started Azar Pumps in 1958 which then lead to Mr May financing The Mayco Company.

More info to follow.

P.S.

I could really use a picture of him if someone has one.

Wayne Robbins was one of the true pioneers in the USA Concrete Pumping Industry. His engineering skills live on today, 85% of his 1958 engineering designs are incorporated in the Mayco C30HD,Putzmeister P30, Schwing P88 and the Western ball valves sold today. Has this segment progressed design wise or is it Kodak Engineering? I could go on with more, however I am sure there are hundreds of lives touched by the great man of the industry and many will come forward. Another standard set by Wayne, was dealership protection. Wayne set up dealerships America wide, never sold a "factory direct" discounted pump to win a sale. In the rare event a buyer would refuse for some reason not to buy from their local dealership ... Wayne would quitely answer " We will look after you from the factory" and once an order was signed at full list price, Wayne would send the dealer in question a check for the full dealer discount. Long before a delivery was completed. A practice long lost in today's market.
