Huh... He even shortriggs while he has loads of space.. Or are we wrong and are this some kind of strange outriggers? I see an other 44 putz where they extend almost a meter..

I've never seen anyone shortrigg so brutaly and completely unnessarary. Look at the left front... It looks like its not extended at all... And there is more than enough space to extend if he reversed about half a meter. This guy must be retarded.. Someone should take this clown away from that pump.. Give him a 17m schwing

I know a guy who love to be a dispatcher for that firm. Than he can send a m52 to do the job of a p715 just to get his desk empty.

After watching the videos over and over i notice more recklessness each time short rigging when he has room is one this guy is very lucky i only seen one video from this guy where his front outriggers were fully out but short riged on the back working side over the front crazy stuff.

Aha.. I get it.. : if the boom is only 20 meters out you only need outriggers like a 20m boom.. Its easy ... You can just look it up in a schedule...

These are real cowboys....

I am sure we will see more than one pump from this area flipped over. I hope nobody gets hurt or killed.

think we have all done this some where along the line to get a job done, common sense is what is needed at times. Some of these island guys are working in the tightest of places .

Before you guys rididule, bag, shame or whatever your fellow peers, look in your own house and make boom pump operation a licenced job rather than throw just any ignorant agitator driver or trucky on a concrete pump and assume he knows how to operate one in a safe manner.

When you guys can do that, then we'll take your comments on this board seriously.

This operator in question, that i know personally, has more experience (and consistent work) than most of the operators on this forum combined.

nothing wrong with his set ups, his out riggers seem fully deployed on the working side. would not worry me to op the pumps in above picutures

I wasn't refering to these last pictures.. Thats not working over a shortrigged side. I was talking about the guy running the boom over some seriously shortrigged outriggers. If you want to suport that... Be my guest... I can't have respect for that. No matter how many years experiance you have..  And sure I believe you get lots of jobs when you do such things for you customers..

What about the one with the rear outrigger on top of that wall?? You think thats 100% safe??

hammah 04-04-2011

You guys need to look at the videos the links are above you can see the 44 meter pump short riged in almost every videos he has and if you can see that then you need glasses and the pics above is the same company.

Strange don't you think... Post a picture of a pump shortrigged on the NON-working side and you have 60 reactions.. But this (Which i've never seen before on this site) and it stays relatively quiet...

Todd 04-04-2011

Its a really good example of what not to do over and over and over again. You guys see the outrigger on the wall? There is nothing but wrong going on here.

hammah 04-05-2011

I think the pictures got nothing on the videos

So you guys have never had an outrigger shorter than necessary( Even by the shortest of measurements) , stuck an outrigger where you thought perhaps you shouldnt, (but did because there is nowhere else), washed out on the ground , (only to watch the washout run down the road into a storm drain or what ever), exceeded the speed limt on the way to the job site, run over your neighbours cat or done something, which at the end of the day you think perhaps you shouldnt have(but you did)....?????

if the answer is no, then watch it , cos your nose is growing  !!!.

In all these pictures/films the pump has tyres the right way up and all are happy. Pamfilis - you take a good photo.

I saw people bash on set ups far better then this guys set up and yet no one wants to say anything about it oh and yet there are people kinda backing this dude up wow what happen to those harsh comments and what not im sure we all did some short cuts here and there but having the out rigger short rigged on the working side when there is clearly room to open them aint one of them and if you think having those out riggers on the 44 M just swung open and barely exstended on the working side is cool then shame on you. Im kinda upset like i said people wanna bash alot of us about minor things compared to this and no one wants to say anything about this.

Im wondering why this thread aint HOT yet i think it has enough views and comments to be up top.

That there are guys defending this is amazing.. NO!!! I've never put my outrigger on a 5'' concrete wall!!!   I'm Not an idiot... And NO I've never shortrigged about a meter on the working side!!!!   Maybe 10cm some time if I REAAAALLLYY had to... And the boom was not far out... But ok... Never come to me and complain about safety than.. If this is ok than lets go wild...

But the inviroment stuff etc... maybe we should leave that out of this so we focus on whats realy a problem... Ofcourse we are not all mother nature's best friend...
