HIGHEST PRICE PAID AT AUCTION FOR BOOM PUMP 2004
A Schwing 34-meter recently sold for $365,000 resulting in the highest price paid at public auction for a concrete pump. The auction was held in May in Houston, TX and conducted by Ritchie Bros. The Schwing was one of multiple construction equipment pieces up for bid. The no reserve auction attracted more than 1900 bidders from 25 countries and more than 40 states. Ritchie Bros on-line service accounted for 438 bidders. Proceeds from the auction totaled $18.7 million. The amount paid for the 2001 Schwing 34-meter mounted on a Mack truck represented more than 86 percent of the pump’s original value.
