NEW REMOTE FUNCTIONS ADD TO 31 EZ PRODUCTIVITY 2005
Continuing design progress at Schwing America has resulted in a new remote box for the company’s popular 31 EZ concrete pump with telescopic placing boom. This pump has been described as two machines in one – placing in low overhead situations with its 18’8” unfolding height, and operating as a precision placing boom on conventional pours. The 31EZ is the only concrete pump with telescopic capability providing 15’2” of horizontal reach. The patented Auto-Scissors pipeline allows this movement in all boom positions.
The new remote box incorporates twin joysticks which provide proportional boom movement. The new design allows the joysticks to be rotated providing the telescopic action proportionally and operation of all five boom sections simultaneously to further speed concrete placement. In practice, operators can provide pin-point accuracy by simply swinging the boom and retracting or extending the telescopic boom section while staying safely in the operational zone.
Schwing’s exclusive Vector control system is standard and provides two-way communication between the operator and pump through a convenient LCD display on the remote box and audible signals. Critical pump functions can be monitored and the Vector controller stores a wealth of valuable data for comprehensive pump management.
The 31EZ places to 100-feet vertically and 87-feet horizontally. Concrete pumping is provided by the Generation III pump kit with up to 170 cu.yds. /hr. output. Standard on the 31EZ is the Big Rock Valve, providing the lowest maintenance costs per yard while handling low slump and harsh mixes. Other standard features include an auto greaser for pump andboom, carbide wear parts, and Super 3000 pipeline.
