New S 17 Schwing Concrete Pump 2007
Promising a fast return on investment, the S 17 from Schwing earns its revenue through high utilization performing on a wide variety of projects. With a 54-foot boom and 124 cubic yard per hour pump kit, the smallest boom pump in the Schwing line performs where larger booms can’t. With single axle truck mounting that keeps overall cost down, the S 17 maneuvers exceptionally in urban settings and on job sites.
Operators can use the S 17 as a versatile truck-mounted line pump by simply attaching pipeline to the optional 180 degree rotating discharge elbow. Or when the pour is on a second story the versatile 270 degree articulating tip section can be inserted into an opening and save the time of assembling a standpipe. Some owners will choose to upgrade customers from line pump jobs that can be reached with the 54-foot boom with 5-inch line.
The three-section Roll and Fold™ Boom unfolds in only 16’4” allowing indoor pumping, slope paving under bridge decks and specialty work. It performs particularly well in urban settings pumping residential jobs with short wheelbase and minimal set-up requirements. The S17 can often travel when weight restrictions are in effect. The S17 can also be used as a learning tool for novice operators who learn the concrete pumping profession on a less intimidating machine while generating revenues.
The boom is controlled by the same Vector Control system used throughout the Schwing line. Twin joysticks provide precision proportional boom movement while an LED display on the remote box communicates critical information from pump to operator. The 2023-3 110/75 SC pumpkit delivers concrete at a smooth, controlled pace up to 124 cubic yards per hour. And the tried and true Rock Valve™ continues to deliver the lowest operating costs per yard.
