NHP looking for truck that shed pipes before Vegas freeway wrecks
LAS VEGAS Six crashes involving eight vehicles sent one person to a Las Vegas-area hospital after a truck dropped metal pipes a little before 6 a.m. on U.S. 95 east of downtown Las Vegas.
Now, the Nevada Highway Patrol is looking for the truck and the trucker. Trooper Kevin Honea says the truck kept going, while pipes hit vehicles, and vehicles swerved into each other in the northbound lanes of the freeway about 5:50 a.m. between Boulder Highway and Charleston Boulevard. No word yet on the condition of the injured motorist. The pipe is described as concrete pumping pipe.
