Sany's latest trailer-mounted pumps are top-of-the-line and have been well received by the market. "Sany, the top manufacturer of concrete pumps and other equipment in China, has been an immediate success with the construction companies," Austin-Price says. "Tried and tested in various parts of the world, both the 48 m mobile pumps and the heavy-duty static pumps are robust, reliable and highly efficient." The pumps, which come in different specifications to suit the needs and requirements of the customers, are the only trailer-mounted concrete delivery units that have passed the overloading experiment test modelling the actual working situations. The pumps have been designed for the construction of demanding projects such as super-high structures, tunnels and bridges." Al Bakhit has also recently launched its equipment leasing operations in Dubai. The idea behind the leasing agency is to offer clients an opportunity to avoid a big financial outlay on equipment such as a concrete pump, which can block working capital. Through its leasing facility, Al Bakhit offers long-term leasing for customers and so far the scheme has been well received by the local markets, he says. Al Bakhit - which had recently bought eight pumps for the service - says that the demand was such that within days of buying the equipment they have gone out on lease to various construction sites locally. The other product that has been recently introduced by Al Bakhit is the Snowkey modular concrete cooling system. Used for cooling concrete with flake ice and chilled water refrigeration, the system is reliable as proven on some of the major projects across the globe including the Hong Kong airport, says Austin-Price

The concrete cooling system consists of several components including the water chilling plant, coldwater tanks, flake ice plants, flake ice storage, flake ice delivery system and weighing device. These units can reduce the water temperature from 50 to 0.5 deg C and can deliver up to 400 tonnes of chiller water per day. "The performance of these cooling systems is impressive and we have received a very good response from the market," he says
