Schwing Appoints New Director Of Engineering 2006

Schwing America, Inc. recently appointed Michael Schweitzer to the position of Director of Engineering at the manufacturer’s White Bear, MN headquarters. Michael graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has been part of the Schwing family for almost 10 years. Beginning his career as a Product Engineer in the Engineering Department, Michael was eventually promoted to Production Engineering Manager. For the last seven years Michael has contributed to Schwing equipment quality and value through trouble-shooting and problem solving with mechanics, welders and assemblers on the production floor.

“He knows all of the personnel on the assembly floor by name and values the input and perspective of everyone here,” said Brian Hazelton, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “He has an intimate knowledge of the way the pumps are assembled and customers’ expectations of the equipment when they’re in the field. All of his experience will be very valuable as he heads up the department.”
