SCHWING INTRODUCES SERIES II TRUCK MIXERS NEW LITERATURE NOW AVAILABLE 2004
Schwing America, Inc., White Bear, MN, recently announced the Schwing/Stetter Series II STM Conventional and Booster truck mixer lines. With all the reliability and stability of the original design, Series II truck mixers also offer several new features that promote convenience, fast discharge and long life.
Schwing/Stetter Series II truck mixers utilize a lower drum angle to provide 13% lower center of gravity, resulting in stability advantages between plant and delivery. A longer, narrower drum also promotes better driveability and rear visibility for easy on-site maneuvering. The lower drum angle also improves water flow during mixing and transit to produce a consistently homogenous mix at discharge. When remixing on-site the distribution of water is faster and more thorough due to the optimized drum angle. Series II truck mixers now feature a 20% larger discharge chute for faster turnaround.
The hydraulic cylinder for pressurizing the booster axle features an internal accumulator to eliminate excess hoses and fittings while providing quick response time to variable road conditions. A cab mounted pressure gauge monitors adjustable pressures to meet state and federal highway limits. An electronic interlock assures that chutes are in the center position before booster activation.
Operator friendly features include chutes supported on a greasable bearing for smooth rotation and a chute lock. Schwing/Stetter’s new ladder design angles toward the operator for easier ascent to the washstand. A splitter hose allows washing from a wide upper platform. A 125-gallon pressurized water tank and 25-foot cable remote also come standard.
New features of the Series II Conventional and Booster truck mixers also include Huck-bolting attachment of the mixer to the frame, and polyurethane bushings at the booster arm attachment point provide up to twice the life of regular bushings.
