SCHWING PLANT TOUR VIDEO NOW AVAILABLE 2005
A new video production has been released by Schwing America. The 11-minute presentation focuses on the plant, the people and the commitment that Schwing makes available to the concrete industry. Taping took place at the company’s 400,000 square foot facility in White Bear, MN. The presentation premiered at the Schwing annual dealer meeting at World of Concrete 2005.
President Tom Anderson provides personal insight into the important step that the Schwing family made more than a quarter century ago to establish manufacturing in the United States. Many consider that move as the most important influence in the concrete pumping revolution in North America.
Vice-president of sales and marketing, Brian Hazelton is shown on camera inviting members of the industry to see the methods and the craftsmanship that are applied to Schwing products. He also makes a personal invitation to anyone who would like to tour the plant.
Areas of the plant that are covered in the video include: weld shop; line boring; assembly; test and paint. Department managers, many with more than two decades of experience, speak to the machinery and processes that are employed in the production of Schwing concrete pumps. Other areas that are covered include engineering, parts and service with on-camera interviews.
