Schwing US Customers See new S 36 SX at bauma Fair 2007

A group of more than 150 Schwing America customers and employees visited the recent bauma fair in Munich, Germany and were the first to see new Schwing technology including EASY one sided outrigger system, octagonal masts for separate placing boom applications, and the S 36 SX which was unveiled at the show. The Schwing group enjoyed two days at the BAUMA fair, which concluded with a group dinner hosted by Gerhard Schwing and his family.

The new S 36 SX with RZ boom is the first pump in its class to employ the patented one-stage Super X outriggers that have proven so valuable on longer booms. “The quick set up and tight footprint of the Super X outriggers are appreciated by our owners so we are expanding them to more pumps in our line-up, “according to Tom O’Malley, Schwing America Boom Pump Division Director.

Another significant feature of the S 36 SX is the RZ four section boom which incorporates the benefits of the Roll and Fold™ and Z boom by placing the Z where it is needed most, at the tip. This boom design was introduced at World of Concrete 2007 in the S 52 SX.

Bauma 2007 set a new record for attendance according to fair officials. Estimates of 500,000 visitors were reported at the construction and industrial equipment trade show which is held every three years.
